Your Patient Journey with Us ...
At Me Clinic, we treat every stage of your surgical journey with equal importance.
From your first consultation through preparation and recovery, we listen to your concerns, keep you informed and provide ongoing support and scheduled follow-up care.
We are with you every step of the way.
Consultation ...
Your first consultation explores your goals, health, anatomy and suitability, including treatment options, risks and recovery. Your surgeon’s fee is provided after assessment, with hospital and anaesthetist fee estimates usually confirmed within 24–48 hours, subject to responses from the relevant providers.
The second consultation gives you time to ask further questions, revisit your options and discuss consent. For cosmetic surgery, a cooling-off period of at least seven days begins after both consultations and signed informed consent, allowing time to reflect on your decision before booking surgery. A GP referral is required for surgical consultations.
Before Surgery ...
A pre-operative appointment with our surgical nurse, usually around three weeks before surgery, helps you prepare and understand what to expect afterwards. This includes reviewing paperwork, discussing medications and supplements, and arranging garments where needed.
Your surgeon or anaesthetist directs any medication changes. Before surgery, the nurse or hospital confirms admission and fasting instructions. Our team can answer preparation questions and help you understand arrangements for transport and support at home.
Procedure Day ...
On arrival, the clinical team completes your admission and prepares you for surgery. Your treating practitioner answers remaining questions, reconfirms consent and makes surgical markings where needed. After your procedure, the clinical team monitors your recovery until you are ready for discharge.
Depending on your surgery, you may return home that day or stay overnight. Before discharge, your team explains your recovery instructions and who to contact with concerns. Arrange for a responsible adult to collect you and support you at home for the first 24 hours.
After Surgery ...
Your care continues with recovery guidance and typically four post-operative appointments. At around 5–7 days, the surgical nurse and/or your treating practitioner reviews your wounds, healing and comfort. These appointments also provide guidance on wound care, activity restrictions and returning to your usual routine.
Further reviews are generally scheduled at 1, 6 and 12 months to assess progress and answer questions. Your schedule is tailored to your procedure and recovery, with additional reviews where clinically needed. Contact our team with concerns between appointments.
